How do you help clients?
Fitness doesn't just involve working out or having a healthy meal, it becomes a lifestyle. I work with women one on one, whether it is in person or through online coaching, and teach them how they can achieve their goals. I teach clients weightlifting, proper form, and we slowly and safely will add on weight. We will will keep track of your diet, cardio, and daily habits. I work with women of all ages, sizes, medical conditions, and experience levels. So whether you've never touched a weight or if you have worked out before, we will work at your pace!
How do I contact you? What is the process and requirements to work with you?
You can contact me right here on my website, just fill out your information on the form (name, number, email) and you can ask me any specific questions you have too! BEFORE YOU CONTACT ME, please make sure you meet the requirements to train with me and see which training you would like. I offer three types of training, but regardless of which one you decide to do, you must be willing to workout AT LEAST 3 times a week, be willing to change your diet and track your macros, do cardio, and you must train with me for at least 3 months (you won't see results in 1 or 2 months). The three types of training I offer are:
In Person Training: I offer training at my studio in Hicksville, but you MUST come in 3 days a week (or more) to work with me. You must be willing to change your diet, do cardio and ab workouts on your own, and be ready to train with me for at least 3 months.
Online Coaching + In Person Training: If you cannot come in 3 days a week, but you would still like to come in once a week to my studio and follow my app for the rest of the week, this is the perfect option for you! This training is for anyone including beginners, anyone who needs a weekly checkup for form, or if you want to do heavy weightlifting with proper guidance.
Online Coaching: If you are interested in working out on your own, whether it's at the gym or home, online coaching is perfect for you. Online coaching is available for everyone, regardless if you are a beginner, or if you have experience working out and need a program to follow consistently/ reach specific goals. If you want to train from home, you must purchase certain equipment (I will send you recommendations from amazon). You will get the Sumie Fitness app with a program catered to your goals, with gym and at home workouts, including videos and directions, nutritional guidance & macro count, full access to me for any help or questions, and a community chat with other women for accountability.
Once you contact me, I will message you from my phone number or email you, and we will briefly discuss your goals and if you have any medical conditions. For online coaching, you will get access to the app and certain instructions. For in person training, we will go over your schedule and see what time slots work for you, and then you will put a $25 non refundable deposit for your first session, which will go towards your package.
What does the First In Person Session Include?
For all clients coming in person, you will be required to put down a $25 nonrefundable deposit for your first session, which will be applied to your training package if you decide to join. During the first session, we will discuss what your short term and long term goals are, if you have any medical conditions or injuries, and discuss your daily habits (eating, sleeping, work, etc). We will take measurements, which includes weight, BMI, body fat, etc, and tape measurements. Then you will perform basic exercises where I will check your form and evaluate what workouts will be programmed into your training. I work with all ages, sizes, and experience levels. Then we will go over pricing options and find what fits your budget. After your session, I will send you your recommended calorie intake/ macros, along with supplements that would benefit your fitness journey and you're all set!
Why do I have to meet all the requirements to train with you?
In order to see results, you must train with at least 3 times a week, whether you are coming in person, or doing online coaching through the app. If you want to train in person, you must come to me at least 3 times a week, or you must come to me once a week and have the discipline to workout on your own using the app. You must also fix your diet once you start working with me. I am not a nutritionist so I cannot tell you what to eat specifically for every meal, but we will track your calories and macros to make sure you aren't under eating or overeating your daily caloric intake. You must also do cardio, if you are overweight, you will have to do cardio at least 5 days a week, and if you are looking to just tone/ build muscle, you must do cardio at least 3 times a week. These are just the basics, and you must stick to this for at least 3 months to see a difference. Depending on your goal, it can take you a few months or even a year to completely reach your goals.
What is your cancellation/ rescheduling policy?
For clients training with me in person 3 times a week, you must notify me at least 24 hours before your session if you need to cancel or reschedule.
For clients training with me in person once a week, you must let me know at least 48 hours before your session if you need to cancel or reschedule.
I understand emergencies happen, so in case of an emergency, you will be allowed to cancel on the same day only ONCE! If you cancel more than once in less than 24 hours/ on the same day, you WILL BE charged for your session! If you notify me ahead of time, I can fill up your time slot, but if you repeatedly cancel in 24 hours, that time slot is being wasted, which is why you will be charged for your session if you cancel within 24 hours more than once.
I do NOT offer refunds for deposits, packages, or online coaching. I offer month to month training, so every month it is up to you if you want to continue/ purchase more training.
What are benefits of weightlifting?
Weightlifting has many benefits including building muscle, burning fat, boosting metabolism, improved posture, better sleep, gaining bone density, lowering inflammation and reducing the risk of chronic disease. As you get older, if you don't use your muscles, you eventually lose strength, leaving you more prone to injuries, less bone density, and lots of fat. Weightlifting will help you build muscle, which will burn fat even after your workout, which will help you reach your goals quicker. Weightlifting is also a safe form of exercise for anyone with joint pain, PCOS, and many other medical conditions. If you have any serious medical problems, please get medical clearance from your doctor before starting with me.

The Sumie Fitness Studio is located in Hicksville, NY. I will send you the exact address once we've set a time and date for you to begin.
Why is your pricing not listed?
You must contact me in order to get pricing information, whether it's for online coaching or in person. For in person training, I prefer discussing pricing in person, as I offer 30, 45, and 60 minute sessions and the only way to find out which duration works for you is by coming in for your first session. I offer 12 and 36 session bundles, which allows you to save more money!
When did you start your fitness journey?
I started working out in 2018, and had no guidance or help. Through trial and error, months of research, and experimenting, I was able to gain weight, build curves and muscle, improve my mental health, and learn so much. As someone who grew up skinny, I had no appetite and was unhealthy and underweight. I understand that adapting new fitness habits is difficult and often fails when you're on your own. My goal is to change your view on fitness, so that it becomes part of who you are and your lifestyle. I strongly believe that if you practice discipline, weightlifting, healthy eating habits, do cardio and make better lifestyle changes, you will not only be able to transform your body, but also build a healthy lifestyle.
